30mm rings should be ok with Filofax width inserts as they are narrower. But I can understand you reverting to 25mm rings if you want to use FC inserts. People have had Van der Spek make a widened Custom Standard to cope with both 30mm rings and FC inserts.
When I retire early next year I won't have this issue as I'll only need my planner for personal and not work. THEN I can move around in all my personal sized planners without this dang problem :)
