GIllio Amica medium in aqua - unboxing

The Gillio White Box

The blue bag has their inserts

The Gillio gift box

The Amica layout, it's perfect for my Franklin Covey compact sized pages

The credit card slots are stitched.  I don't typically use them for credit cards, so I put a card that I rarely use in one, to show how nice and deep the slots are.

I stuffed it

This weekend shows "post office 7am" , which was to pick up this new planner :)

The medium Gillio Amica on the left in Aqua Epoca as compared to the Van Der Spek Standaard Turquese untreated Nappa. I will never order untreated Nappa again, it is not good for something you touch with your hands. The color of the VDS is nice but the leather sucks.

Uplate on un-dyed Van Der Spek

I treated my undyed Van Der Spek with neatsfoot oil because it had been feeling so dry. This particular planner was purchased from the Van Der Spek marketplace on Facebook, previously owned but unused. This planner was created without stiffener, so you can see the dents that occur between the spine ring mechanism and where the inner pockets create added thickness. This doesn't bother me very much, as I like that this gives it a rugged character. I used a wide brush to apply the oil and then rubbed it vigorously with a cotton cloth. I did two treatments and when the slight smell subsides I plan on moving back into

I had an idea that in the future, an undyed could be made into any color and then sealed, to make a unique planner, hmmm my mind is now thinking of the possibilities.

Why oh why did Filofax discontinue the mini size? They're perfect for a wallet. I'm now up to three, this latest is this light blue cross.

Filofax Mini Credit Card Holder Hack

I use my Filofax Mini as a wallet, and it is so damn cute. But,I could not find any Filofax inserts for my mini planner that would hold credit cards, so off to Google I went to find a hack.

I got this idea from YouTube, but went about it a different way. I bought checkbook plastic inserts for pictures at Walmart.com
Here's all you'll need.

I sliced them at the spine

I hole-punched them with my 6 hole Rapesco punch being careful to line the plastic just so, as the mini only has 5 holes. Luckily, the hole spacing is the same if you adjust the Rapesco by pushing the two plates together in the middle.

hole punched them
And there you have it.

So cute!
